All of the stories published in the blog are absolutely astonishing, due to the fact that in the most of the cases are just simple actions that contributes to build a better world and improve ourselves as humanity. These acts of kindness have an extraordinary effect, specially in the way that are a type of chain, repeating the acts of kindness.
I like Jessica and Tim's story because they talked about 12 steps to be a kind person just following easy advices. In addition, if these simple advices were follow, could cause and overwhelming change in the relationships between our fellowmen and us.
I remembered, long time ago, I was walking with my parents. Suddenly, a woman with a small child appeared and asked us for money in order to buy food. My parents and I did not grant her desire of money, but instead of that, we gave to her a bag full of fruit for feeding them.
the story that i chose is about a guy called James, he wanted to become a banker but he retracted because he had already started to feel good while he was working with children and young people with mental problems, originally he wasn't meant to be a Development Practitioner, he was helping because he had too much time, he had become a Development Practitioner because his success was defined by his acts of kindness, and I find that very interesting and good example of life with a vocation
I choose Marceen's history. In my opinion the child needs academic classes as the same as humanities because the emotional and social part in a child is important as math or science. The schools of today didn't teach how to be kind, and sometimes de child don't respect the people, or don't take care about the others, they don't help in the street people who is in troubles like a old man how can see, or a woman with a lot of bags and a baby. With the kindness we can change the day of a person, and if we teach how to be kind to all people, the world can change in a better way. It's too simple like that, when someone is kind with you, you want to be kind with someone else and so far and so for.
Those stories were impacted, and also create in ourselves a reflection and a different thought to our reality and environment; In my opinion one of the best was the Erica´s Story, were I remembered that years ago when we were in a trip in the roads of Quindio, we saw a woman crying and screaming in her car; then in a toll we realize that a car were not be able to cross, so my family and I decided to take the other lane, but when we arrive at the cashier, we saw that the car that were not be able to pass, were the car of the woman that had seen in the road crying and screaming, and was because she had not brought her cash, and she only has credit card to pay, and in the toll do not have dataphone, and she was so desperate, and she offered her jewlery, ID, something to be able to pass and the answer of the cashier was that they cannot do that; so my father decided to pay for her, she had been amazed, and keep without words; saying that were leave the money, etc.
So a simple thing like that could save a life or avoid a huge problematic; and it can happen to you one day.
I chose the Pauly's story and i think that anyone is able to help others regardless of their physical disabilities, it is enough to have the desire and the spirit of kindness to achieve it. The example that Pauly gave to society was a great act of kindness because he also wanted to include the homeless community by giving them something that he believed that it could serve them as much as he did.
And in my opinion, the project that his father wanted to establish and continue has been an act of love for his son, because he wants his legacy to last for a long time leaving a mark.
I choose Erica's and Susan's story. Is incredible how just little actions like buying someone's store items when they had their card declined, inspire others by writting books or just start to share positive energy to others, became a big act of kindness, or like I say "do what you would like them to do to you". I think kindness starts with ourselves, starting to be more positive never give up and try until you succeed. I remember, like 2 weeks ago, me and my mum were in the ex I to, and there was a woman in the hallway of beans with us , and she was trying to reach some bags of rice that was high on a shelf, and she couldn't BC she was shorter, so I helped her reaching the 2 bags of rice for her just because I wanted to. And when I helped her I felt great with myself.
I liked Wendy's story because simple things can change anything and make someone happy, and Wendy did a Random act of kindness helping the old man to found his neighbour's cat food. Yes, one month ago, i was in a hospital taking care of my uncle and in his room was a older man (92 years) he was very sick, and no one were taking care of him. I helped him with the oxygen and so many things all night long
I liked brian's text because is a simple action but it meaned a lot for brian and she helped him to saved his weekend. Is a simple action of kindness but it make you feel better. The woman doesn't care about if she will take more time in the line, she sensed Brian's tension and make her pass in the line
I choose nicole's story because I am agree with that, random acts of kindness can change the world and people's lifes, nicole had done good acts since she understood that kindness is necesary in our society and it is not complicated to do. Nicole wants people to be kind for avoiding the bullying and violence, and with that promote tolerance and respect. In my personal experience I try to help everytime I can do it even if he or she is a stranger because kindness is a global lenguage without frontiers.
